Melissa Zartar MA, LMFT
Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with over 10 years of experience working with children, individuals, couples and families with a broad range of emotional and behavioral struggles. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from California State University, Northridge in 2009 and her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2011. Melissa is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Anger Management.
Melissa specializes in helping adults, couples, and teenagers move through general life challenges, anxiety, low self-esteem, panic disorders, depression, post- traumatic stress, women's issues, and relationship/family issues. As your therapist, Melissa will provide an empathetic, non-judgmental space, be your inspiring and reliable partner. She will work with you to identify solutions to the patterns that get in the way of your vision of happiness and well-being. Based on your individual needs and goals, Melissa will use a wide range of treatment methods focused on increasing insight, motivation, and confidence. As a therapist she utilizes several frameworks derived from a number of models such as CBT, DBT, Gestalt, Solution-Focused, and Family Systems.
